ORCHID - uploaded 2005-02-25

I always loved orchids and this blossom looked so beautiful, so I had to take a picture. Think it worked out nicely.

This picture was made with a 3MPixel Nikon in macro mode using the inbuilt flash. The rest of the room was dark, so the orchid is the only thing visible.

MUIR WOODS - uploaded 2004-12-25

As I wandered through Muir Woods in California in Summer 2000 I found this little scenery between all the giant Redwood trees. It was so peaceful and I loved the moss-covered tree trunks.

Picture taken with a small Nikon camera almost 10 years old at that time. Scanned in the paper photo afterwards with a HP Scanjet. No postwork. If the scenery is perfect you don't need to be a great photgrapher.
